If a benefit needs a footnote to be understood, we rewrite the explanation. You should be able to tell a partner what you bought without opening a glossary.

Our story
Thompson Group Insurance began when a handful of advisors kept hearing the same sentence: “I bought a policy, but I cannot tell you what it does.” Families had papers. They did not have a picture. We built a practice around that gap.
We still open every relationship the same way. We ask who relies on you, which bills would hurt if they arrived tomorrow, and which cover you already pay for but never use. Only then do we talk about products. Health, travel, pets, homes, cars, and life policies are tools. The goal is a household that can absorb a hard month.
Our guides write summaries in short sentences. They name the excess, the annual limit, the waiting period, and the exclusions that surprise people most often. If a cheaper plan leaves out something you said mattered, we say so before you sign.

Three promises shape every quote, renewal, and claim conversation.
If a benefit needs a footnote to be understood, we rewrite the explanation. You should be able to tell a partner what you bought without opening a glossary.
A low premium is only a bargain when the cover matches the risk. We show the cost of being underinsured with the same care we show the monthly number.
The relationship does not end at enrollment. When a form is confusing, a guide stays on the thread until the next step is obvious.
Thompson Group Insurance is an advisory group. We introduce suitable policies from established insurers and stay beside you while you compare them. We are not a substitute for the policy contract. The insurer’s wording is the document that pays a claim. Our job is to help you read it before that day arrives.
We choose partners that publish clear benefit tables, answer claim questions in writing, and allow mid-term changes when a household grows. If a product looks polished in a brochure but fails those tests, it does not reach our shortlist.
We work with individuals, couples, multigenerational households, and small teams that want personal guidance. A freelance designer insuring a home studio, parents adding a newborn to a health plan, and a traveler booking a semester abroad all sit in the same queue. Complexity is welcome. Rushing is not.
