Last updated: 28 September 2026

These Terms & Services explain how you may use the Thompson Group Insurance website at thompsongroupinsurance.com, the forms on it, and the introductory conversations that follow. They are written for readers, not for a courtroom performance. Please read them with the Privacy Policy. If you enroll in an insurance policy, the insurer’s contract is a separate document and controls that policy.

1. Agreement

By browsing this website, sending a form, subscribing to notes, or asking us to prepare a proposal, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please leave the site and do not send personal information through the forms. If you use the site on behalf of a household, a studio, or another organization, you confirm that you are allowed to share the details you provide.

We may refuse a request that we cannot handle responsibly, including a request that needs a license we do not hold in your location or information we are not equipped to store. A refusal is not a judgment about your situation. It is a limit on what this website and this advisory desk can do.

2. Who we are

Thompson Group Insurance provides insurance guidance. We help people compare health, travel, pet, home, auto, life, and small-business cover, and we help them prepare for renewals and claims conversations. We are not the insurer on your policy unless a separate written agreement says so, and this page is not that agreement.

References to “we,” “us,” and “our” mean Thompson Group Insurance. References to “you” mean the person using the website or the household or organization that person represents. Guides named on the team page act for the practice when they reply to you.

3. The website is information, not a policy

Articles, prices for guidance plans, testimonials, and service descriptions are general information. They are illustrations of how we work. They are not an offer of insurance, a binder, a certificate of cover, or a promise that a claim will be paid.

A testimonial describes one person’s experience with our advice. It does not predict your premium, your underwriting result, or your claim outcome. Benefits, exclusions, waiting periods, and excesses always come from the insurer’s wording for the specific policy you are offered.

Nothing on this website is a substitute for reading the policy schedule, the benefits table, and the exclusions before you enroll or renew. If our summary and the insurer’s contract ever differ, the contract controls the cover. Tell us immediately so we can correct the summary.

4. Quotes, proposals, and applications

Forms on this website ask for a name, an email address, a topic, and a message. Submitting a form does not create cover and does not reserve a price. It asks us to begin a conversation. Because these forms run in your browser only, you should also keep your own copy of anything important you wanted us to see. Do not send medical records, full policy numbers, or payment card details through a website form.

A proposal we later send by email is an explanation of options based on what you told us and on information insurers make available at that time. Premiums can change before you accept. Insurers may decline an application, apply special terms, or request medical, veterinary, driving, or property information. We do not control those decisions.

You agree that the details you provide are accurate to the best of your knowledge. Insurance applications punish guesses. If a date of birth, a pet’s age, a rebuild estimate, a driving history, or a health note is wrong, the insurer may reduce or refuse a claim later. Tell us when something changes between the proposal and the enrollment.

5. The advice relationship

An advice relationship begins only when we confirm it in writing, including which guidance plan applies and what fee, if any, you have accepted. Until that confirmation, messages are introductory. We may ask questions, outline a process, and decline to proceed.

Our role is to explain options and help you prepare documents. Unless we agree otherwise in writing, we do not act as your lawyer, tax adviser, physician, veterinarian, or financial planner. Decisions about treatment, repairs, travel, and beneficiaries remain yours. We will tell you when a question belongs with one of those professionals.

You may stop the relationship by email. We may stop it if you ask us to misstate an application, if we cannot reach you, or if continuing would conflict with our duties to an insurer or to another client. Stopping advice does not, by itself, cancel an insurance policy. Cancellation has to follow the insurer’s process.

6. Guidance fees and insurance premiums

Prices shown for Essential, Family, and Shield are guidance fees for our time and follow-through. They are not insurance premiums. Premiums are set by insurers and depend on the risk they are asked to carry. We will separate the two numbers in writing before you are asked to commit.

A guidance fee, once accepted, covers the services listed for that plan on the pricing page as of the date you accept. It does not include the insurer’s premium, taxes the insurer must collect, veterinary or repair bills, or fees charged by other professionals. If a task sits outside the plan, we will describe it and ask before we begin.

We may be paid by you, by an insurer, or by a combination, depending on the product and the arrangement we disclose. We will tell you the nature of any insurer payment connected to a policy we introduce before you enroll. Disclosure does not change the insurer’s price. It tells you how we are compensated so you can weigh the recommendation.

7. Eligibility

You must be able to form a contract and to share the information the forms request. Do not use the site if you are under the age where you can agree to these terms where you live. Parents and guardians who inquire about cover for a child must do so in their own name and must not ask a child to submit the form.

Some products are unavailable for certain ages, activities, pet breeds, property types, or health histories. Availability is decided by insurers and by the rules that apply to the product, not by the design of this website. We will say when we cannot introduce a product, and we will not invent a workaround that misstates the risk.

8. Acceptable use

You agree to use the website and our email only for lawful questions about insurance guidance. You will not attempt to break, scan, overload, or misuse the site; copy it in a way that suggests you are Thompson Group Insurance; harvest addresses; or send malware. You will not submit another person’s information unless you are authorized to do so and doing so is allowed.

You will not ask us to hide a material fact from an insurer. That includes asking us to omit a diagnosis, an accident, a renovation, a driver, or a previous cancellation. We will decline those requests and we may end the conversation.

Reviews you send us must be your own words and your own experience. We may edit length and we will not publish a review that states a claim was paid if we cannot reconcile that statement with the file. We may decline to publish a review at all.

9. Intellectual property

The website design, logo, text, and arrangement of pages belong to Thompson Group Insurance or are used with permission. The shield mark and the name Thompson Group Insurance may not be copied for another insurance service or used in a way that implies a partnership we have not confirmed.

You may share links to public pages and you may quote a short passage with credit for personal, non-commercial discussion. You may not republish our guides, pricing tables, or page layouts as your own product. Photographs on the site show everyday scenes that illustrate the subjects we advise on. They are not client portraits unless a caption says so.

If you believe something on the site infringes a right you hold, email hello@thompsongroupinsurance.com with the page address, a description of the work, and a way to reply. We will review good-faith notices and remove or adjust material when the concern is valid.

10. Insurers, links, and other parties

When we introduce an insurer, that insurer’s application, privacy notice, and policy wording apply to the cover itself. Your contract of insurance, if one is issued, is between you and the insurer. We are not a party to that contract merely because we helped you compare it.

Links to other websites are provided for convenience. We do not control those sites and we are not responsible for their content, security, or offers. A link is not an endorsement of every product on the destination page. Check the address before you enter personal information anywhere.

11. Electronic messages

You agree that we may write to the email address you submit about the request you made. Quote conversations, proposal drafts, renewal reminders tied to an active advice relationship, and answers to your questions are service messages. Optional cover notes are separate and are sent only if you subscribe. You may leave that list on the unsubscribe page.

Email is not a perfectly private channel. Do not include highly sensitive medical detail, account passwords, or payment card numbers in a website form or a routine email. If we need a document of that kind, we will agree on a safer method first. We are not responsible for delays caused by your spam filters, a mistyped address, or an outage of your email provider.

12. Disclaimers

The website and introductory content are provided as available. We work carefully, and we still do not warrant that every page is free of error, that the site will be uninterrupted, or that a particular insurer, premium, or benefit shown in an example will be offered to you. Guidance is based on the facts you share and on product information available at the time. Insurance products change. A page can be out of date for a day even when we are attentive.

To the extent the law allows, we disclaim implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement in relation to the website itself. Some places do not allow certain disclaimers. In those places, the disclaimer applies only as far as it may. Nothing in these terms limits a right that cannot legally be limited, including rights related to fraud or to liability that a statute protects.

13. Limitation of liability

To the extent the law allows, Thompson Group Insurance and its guides are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive losses, or for lost profits, lost data, or the cost of a substitute policy, arising from your use of the website or from an introductory conversation. We are not liable for an insurer’s decision to decline, delay, limit, or pay a claim, or for a premium the insurer charges.

If we are found liable for a failure in our own advisory service, our total liability for that service is limited to the guidance fees you paid us for the plan connected to the claim during the three months before the event, or, if no fee was paid, to zero beyond any amount the law says we cannot exclude. This limit does not apply where the law forbids it.

You are responsible for the decisions you make after reading a proposal, including the decision to remain uninsured, to choose a higher excess, or to decline a benefit. We are responsible for the care of the explanation we agreed to provide, not for every outcome in your life.

14. Your responsibility to us

If a third party brings a claim against us because you misused the site, submitted information you had no right to share, or asked us to pass inaccurate facts to an insurer, you will cover the reasonable losses and costs that result, including reasonable legal fees, to the extent the law allows. This section does not require you to cover a loss caused by our own negligence or willful misconduct.

15. Privacy

Our Privacy Policy describes the information the forms ask for, why we ask, and the choices you have. These terms and that policy sit together. If a sentence about personal information conflicts, the Privacy Policy governs that subject. Please do not send us information about someone else unless you are allowed to and it is needed for the quote.

16. Changes to the site and to these terms

We may update pages, guidance fees, and these terms as products and practices change. The date at the top of this page shows the latest version. If a change is significant, we will post a clear note on this page. The version in effect when you send a form applies to that submission. An ongoing advice relationship also follows any updated terms we send you, after we give you a reasonable chance to stop the service if you disagree.

We may suspend the website for maintenance or to address a security concern. We will restore it when we reasonably can. A suspension does not cancel an insurance policy you already hold with an insurer.

17. Events outside our control

We are not liable for delay caused by events we cannot reasonably prevent, including failures of email networks, insurer system outages, widespread illness that closes a clinic we do not operate, or storms that interrupt ordinary business. We will resume the conversation when the interruption lifts and we will tell you if a renewal date is at risk so you can contact the insurer directly.

18. Entire agreement and severability

These terms, the Privacy Policy, and any written plan confirmation are the agreement about use of the website and about our guidance service. They do not replace an insurance policy. If a section of these terms cannot be enforced, the rest remains in effect. A failure to insist on a term once is not a waiver of that term later.

Headings are for convenience. They do not change the meaning of the sections. These terms may not be assigned by you. We may assign them to a successor that continues the advisory practice, and we will tell active clients when that happens.

19. Governing principles

These terms are interpreted under the laws that apply to our advisory practice, without relying on conflict rules that would point somewhere unexpected, and without limiting any consumer protection that applies to you where you live and that cannot be waived. Courts or other forums in that same setting may hear disputes about the website and the guidance service, except where a statute gives you the right to be heard closer to home.

Before starting a formal dispute about our advice, please email us and describe the concern. Many mismatches are summary errors we can correct. This request does not delay a deadline the law gives you, and it does not apply to an emergency claim you must file directly with an insurer.

20. Contact

Questions about these terms can be sent to hello@thompsongroupinsurance.com or through the contact form. Please use a subject line that mentions “Terms” so the note reaches the right desk. We do not accept service of legal papers through the website form.

Thank you for reading. The point of these terms is simple: the website explains our work, the insurer’s contract explains your cover, and you should always be able to tell those two documents apart.
